David N. Sonnenblick
Co-Founder and Principal

Mr. Sonnenblick is a Co-Founder and Principal of Sonnenblick- Eichner Company.  Prior to forming Sonnenblick-Eichner Company, Mr. Sonnenblick was a major shareholder and managing partner of Sonnenblick-Goldman Company, a national real estate advisory firm.  Throughout Mr. Sonnenblick's career, he has been active in the origination of real estate equity and debt transactions, for all product types of real estate.  Mr. Sonnenblick has closed in excess of $15 billion of real estate transactions on behalf of his clients, and he continues to focus his efforts on seeking new and innovative capital sources for real estate transactions.

 

Mr. Sonnenblick attended the University of Denver where he was an honor student and completed his studies at the University of Colorado where he received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics in 1982.  He is a California licensed real estate broker and a frequently sought speaker at real estate seminars and conferences.  Mr. Sonnenblick is a Governor of the Urban Land Institute, a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers, and a member of the International Advisory Board of the University of Colorado Real Estate Center.  Mr. Sonnenblick's philanthropic activities include being a Trustee of National Jewish Health in Denver, Colorado.

Elliot K. Eichner
Co-Founder and Principal

Mr. Eichner is a Co-Founder and Principal of Sonnenblick-Eichner Company. Mr. Eichner has over 35 years of transactional commercial real estate experience. He was previously with Sonnenblick-Goldman Company from 1986 to 1992, and rejoined Sonnenblick-Goldman as a Managing Director and Partner in January 1995. Mr. Eichner was a Senior Vice President with Kennedy-Wilson International from 1992 to 1995. Previous positions that Mr. Eichner held include being associated with Jones Lang Wootton and Bear Stearns Co., Inc. in New York. Mr. Eichner arranges institutional joint ventures, debt and equity financings, and investment sales on behalf of Sonnenblick-Eichner Company clients. During his career, Mr. Eichner has closed in excess of $10 billion of transactions. Mr. Eichner's clients include publicly traded real estate companies, investment banks, real estate equity and opportunity funds, and entrepreneurial developers and investors.

 

Mr. Eichner received a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management from Syracuse University in 1978 and a Master of Business Administration degree in Finance from George Washington University in 1982. He is a licensed California real estate broker.

Patrick C. Brown
Principal

Mr. Brown is a Principal of Sonnenblick-Eichner Company. Mr. Brown's responsibilities include the origination and management of new and existing institutional debt and equity sources, as well as negotiating and closing transactions on behalf of the firm's clients. Throughout Mr. Brown's 37-year career in the commercial real estate finance and investment management business, he has closed in excess of $5 billion of transactions including construction, acquisition and permanent debt, as well as conducting property acquisition and asset management due diligence for commercial properties. Prior to his appointment at Sonnenblick-Eichner Company, Mr. Brown was a Vice President in the Structured Commercial Real Estate Finance Group of Greenwich Capital Markets. Previous management positions include Director - Western Region for WMF Capital Corporation, and Director - Real Estate Investment for MassMutual Life Insurance Company.

 

Mr. Brown attended Loyola - Marymount University in Los Angeles where he obtained a Bachelor of Arts in History in 1983. In addition to his involvement in the local commercial real estate industry associations, he is a permanent member of MBA's Education CREF subcommittee by virtue of his appointment as a Faculty Fellow in 1991.

Brandon C. Tipping
Vice President

Mr. Tipping is currently a Vice President with the firm.  Mr. Tipping is responsible for preparing investment and financing memoranda as well as completing the financial analyses and market research associated with each transaction.  Mr. Tipping’s responsibilities also include managing the due diligence process, evaluating potential investment and financing proposals, and helping with the closing process of each transaction.  Mr. Tipping has underwritten and assisted with the negotiation and closing of over $1 billion of real estate debt transactions across all product types. Prior to joining Sonnenblick-Eichner Company, Mr. Tipping was an Assistant Vice President at Allied Irish Bank. 

 

Mr. Tipping received a Master of Real Estate from the Schack Institute of Real Estate at New York University, where he graduated Summa Cum Laude.  Mr. Tipping also attended the University of California, Los Angeles, where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Cybernetics, a minor in Mathematics and a specialization in Business Administration.

Francesco X. Jimenez
Senior Associate

Mr. Jimenez is a Senior Associate with the firm. Mr. Jimenez’s responsibilities include preparing investment and financing memoranda, financial analyses and market research associated with the firm’s transactions.  Mr. Jimenez is also involved with the due diligence process, evaluating potential investment and financing proposals, and assisting with the closing process of the firm’s transactions.  Mr. Jimenez has over 10 years of experience in the commercial real estate industry and has been involved with over $500 million in debt and equity transactions.  Prior to joining Sonnenblick-Eichner Company, Mr. Jimenez was underwriting commercial mortgages for a private debt fund and its associate entities. Mr. Jimenez has also performed asset management for a family office and real estate dispositions for a publicly traded Hotel REIT.

 

Mr. Jimenez is a graduate from Cornell University of the Nolan School of Hotel Administration and holds a Bachelor of Science degree with a concentration in Entrepreneurship. Mr. Jimenez is an active board member of The Alpha Delta Phi Fraternity, Cornell Chapter  and a lifetime member of the Cornell Hotel Society.
